Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) has entered the Guinness World Records for the “Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month.” The recognition comes after the 8th edition of the programme, held earlier this year, received a record 3.53 crore valid registrations on the MyGov platform.
The award was officially presented at a ceremony in New Delhi, attended by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Electronics & IT, Railways, and I&B Ashwini Vaishnaw, MoS for Electronics & IT Jitin Prasada, senior officials from the Ministries of Education and Electronics & IT, and other key stakeholders. The record was validated by Rishi Nath, official adjudicator of Guinness World Records.
Transforming Exam Stress into a Festival of Learning
Launched in 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha is a unique global platform where Prime Minister Modi directly interacts with students, teachers, and parents, encouraging stress-free preparation and holistic learning. The 2025 edition witnessed over 21 crore viewership across media platforms, making it one of the most widely followed educational initiatives in India.
Speaking on the occasion, Dharmendra Pradhan hailed PPC as a transformative step toward making examinations a time of joy and learning rather than anxiety. He said, “Under the visionary leadership of PM Modi, PPC has redefined how India approaches examinations.”
Ashwini Vaishnaw described PPC as a platform that promotes well-being and career awareness during the Amrit Kaal, adding that the Guinness World Record reflects public trust in this initiative. Jitin Prasada praised MyGov for leveraging technology to deepen citizen engagement and scale PPC’s impact nationwide.
Aligned with NEP 2020 Vision
The initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes stress-free, experiential learning over rote memorization. Through interactive sessions, PM Modi addresses key issues such as time management, digital distractions, mindfulness, and emotional resilience, offering practical guidance to students, parents, and educators.
A Movement Beyond an Event
Since its inception, PPC has evolved into a nationwide movement, reinforcing the message that examinations are not the end but a new beginning. The Ministry of Education and all stakeholders credited the record-breaking success to India’s collective commitment to holistic, inclusive education and the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
