Prime Minister Modi receives heartfelt farewell at Ahmedabad airport

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after concluding his two-day visit to Gujarat, departed for Delhi on Tuesday. At Ahmedabad Airport, Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel bid him farewell, the Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a release.

Union Minister and BJP State President C.R. Patil, Protocol Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma, Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibha Jain, State Chief Secretary Pankaj Joshi, Director General of Police Vikas Sahay, Additional Chief Secretary (GAD) Sunaina Tomar, Air Marshal S. Srinivas, Ahmedabad City Police Commissioner G.S. Malik, Major General Gaurav Bagga, Chief Protocol Officer Jvalant Trivedi, and other senior officials were also present.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister inaugurated Maruti Suzuki’s first battery electric vehicle and lithium-ion battery production facility at Hansalpur in Ahmedabad district. Describing the friendship between India and Japan as “Made for Each Other,” Modi said the launch marks a new milestone in bilateral cooperation, according to the CMO release.

He added that when electric vehicles bearing the “Made in India” tag travel across more than 100 countries, it will be a matter of pride for every Indian.

Encouraging the “Vocal for Local” spirit, Modi explained his vision of “Swadeshi,” saying that regardless of which country invests, if the hard work comes from Indian citizens and the product is largely manufactured on Indian soil, it qualifies as Swadeshi.

Referring to his upcoming visit to Japan, the Prime Minister said the India-Japan friendship goes beyond diplomacy to cultural ties, noting that what began with Suzuki has now extended to the Bullet Train project.

“In the festive spirit of Ganesh Utsav, a new chapter is being added today to India’s Make in India journey. This is a major leap toward our goal of ‘Make in India, Make for the World,’” PM Modi said. (ANI)
