The Udyam Sakhi Portal, launched by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), is helping women entrepreneurs across the country start, build and expand their businesses, thereby fostering self-reliance, said Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on Monday.
The online platform – https://udyamsakhi.com – serves as a one-stop resource for women entrepreneurs, offering information on various financial schemes such as Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE), Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency (MUDRA) and Trade Receivables e-Discounting System (TReDS). It also provides guidance on policies, programmes, and business plan preparation, along with details of nodal offices and supporting organisations of the MSME Ministry across states.
In addition, the portal shares updates on exhibitions, trade fairs, and international events organised by the Ministry of MSME, creating opportunities for women entrepreneurs to connect with markets and expand their reach.
So far, 4,535 women have registered on the portal, which was developed in 2018 with an expenditure of ₹43.52 lakh.
