Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports invites applications for Sports Awards

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, has invited applications for its annual Sports Awards, recognizing and rewarding excellence in sports.

The Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award honors sportspersons for the most spectacular and outstanding performances, while the Arjuna Award celebrates consistent excellence in sports. The Arjuna Award (Lifetime) recognizes lifetime contributions to sports development, and the Dronacharya Award is presented to coaches who have trained medal winners at prestigious international competitions. Additionally, the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar (RKPP) acknowledges corporate entities, NGOs, and organizations that have significantly promoted and developed sports in India. Eligible sportspersons, coaches, and organizations are required to submit applications online only through the dedicated portal www.dbtyas-sports.gov.in
. Applicants must adhere to the guidelines for each award while applying. The deadline for submission is 11:59 pm on October 28, 2025.
