The Ministry of Ayush, in collaboration with the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa, will celebrate the 10th National Ayurveda Day on September 23. The event will be inaugurated by Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav. This year’s theme, “Ayurveda for People, Ayurveda for Planet,” will highlight Ayurveda’s contribution to human health and ecological sustainability.
A major highlight of the celebrations will be the National Dhanwantari Ayurveda Awards 2025, which will honour distinguished contributors to the field of Ayurveda. The event will also see the inauguration of key healthcare facilities at AIIA Goa, including an Integrative Oncology Unit, Blood Storage Unit, Central Sterile Supply Department, Hospital Linen Processing Care Unit, and the Ran-Bhaji Utsav, a festival celebrating local forest vegetables.
Several strategic collaborations and MoUs will be signed, including an international agreement for academic exchange in traditional medicine, a tripartite MoU on integrative oncology, a MoU with Multani Pharmaceuticals for research in Dravyaguna, and a partnership between AIIA Goa and the Goa Institute of Management.
New initiatives to be launched include:

DRAVYA portal – a digital platform for Ayush substance information
Guidelines on Ayush interventions released by DPIIT
A dedicated website for Ayurveda achievers
The day will also see the release of significant publications such as “25 Years Journey of NMPB,” “Campus Flora” of AIIA Goa, “Ayurveda for Sports Medicine,” and “Ayurveda Insight for Restful Sleep.” Technical outputs include an algorithm for integrative leukemia management, wound healing studies from Sushrut Samhita, and the Ayush Innovation Readiness Framework.
