The Nationwide Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign, launched on July 1, 2025, has achieved strong progress in just two-and-a-half months. According to the Department of Financial Services, over 2.3 lakh camps have been held across districts, leading to the opening of more than 61 lakh new Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) accounts and 2.6 crore new enrollments under the three Jan Suraksha social security schemes.
The campaign, which runs till September 30, 2025, aims to ensure last-mile delivery of banking and financial services to every eligible individual. Camps have been set up across 2.70 lakh Gram Panchayats (GPs) and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), facilitating not only fresh enrollments but also re-KYC for inactive accounts, nomination updates, and awareness on unclaimed deposits and digital frauds.
Between July 1 and September 14, 2025, the following progress was reported:
- 61.69 lakh new PMJDY accounts opened
- 2.32 crore KYC details re-verified for inactive accounts
- 56.86 lakh nomination updates completed
- 72.56 lakh enrollments under PMJJBY
- 1.56 crore enrollments under PMSBY
- 31.32 lakh enrollments under APY
- 44,455 claims settled under PMJJBY and PMSBY
In addition, large-scale awareness programs on digital fraud prevention, accessing unclaimed deposits, and grievance redressal have been conducted nationwide.
