Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday received a telephone call from Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic (Greece), during which the two leaders exchanged greetings and reviewed the progress of bilateral ties.
Prime Minister Mitsotakis conveyed warm wishes to PM Modi on the occasion of his birthday. PM Modi expressed heartfelt gratitude for the gesture and reaffirmed India’s commitment to deepening ties with Greece.
Both leaders welcomed the recent momentum in bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors, including trade, investment, technology, shipping, defence, security, connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges. They reiterated their resolve to further strengthen the India–Greece Strategic Partnership in the coming years.
Prime Minister Mitsotakis also expressed Greece’s support for the early conclusion of a mutually beneficial India–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA). He conveyed best wishes for the success of the AI Impact Summit, which India will host in 2026.
The two leaders also exchanged views on key regional and global developments of mutual interest and agreed to stay in regular touch to maintain the positive trajectory of ties.
