Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday shared an article by Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia highlighting how India’s postal system, through India Post and the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), has grown into the world’s largest doorstep banking network.
In response to a post by Scindia on X, the Prime Minister said the transformation has ensured dignity and empowerment for citizens.
“With unprecedented efforts from the government, our humble postman has become the harbinger of financial inclusion. With @IndiaPostOffice and @IPPBOnline, India’s postal system is now the world’s largest doorstep banking network, ensuring dignity and empowerment,” PM Modi wrote.
