Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal and Bihar from September 13 to 15. During the tour, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 71,000 crore, covering key sectors such as railways, roadways, energy, healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
On September 13, the Prime Minister will reach Mizoram, where he will dedicate and launch development works worth over Rs 9,000 crore at Aizawl. He will inaugurate the Bairabi–Sairang New Rail Line, built at a cost of more than Rs 8,070 crore, connecting Mizoram’s capital to the Indian Railways network for the first time. He will also flag off three new trains — Sairang–Delhi Rajdhani Express, Sairang–Guwahati Express, and Sairang–Kolkata Express. Road, energy, sports, and education projects will also be launched, including the Aizawl Bypass Road, LPG bottling plant at Mualkhang, Khelo India Multipurpose Indoor Hall, and new residential schools.
Later, in Manipur, Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 7,300 crore at Churachandpur, including major road and highway works, the Manipur Infotech Development Project, and Working Women’s Hostels. At Imphal, he will inaugurate projects worth more than Rs 1,200 crore, including the new Civil Secretariat, IT SEZ, Police Headquarters, Manipur Bhawans in Delhi and Kolkata, and women’s Ima markets.
In the evening, he will reach Assam to take part in the centenary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika in Guwahati.
On September 14, the Prime Minister will launch projects worth over Rs 18,530 crore in Assam. At Darrang, he will lay the foundation stone of the Darrang Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati Ring Road, and a new bridge over the Brahmaputra. At Numaligarh in Golaghat, he will inaugurate Assam Bioethanol Plant and lay the foundation stone of a Polypropylene Plant at Numaligarh Refinery.
On September 15, Prime Minister will visit West Bengal to inaugurate the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference in Kolkata. The three-day conference will bring together top civilian and military leadership on the theme “Year of Reforms – Transforming for the Future.”
Later, in Bihar, he will inaugurate the new terminal building of Purnea Airport and launch development projects worth around Rs 36,000 crore. These include the 3×800 MW thermal power project at Bhagalpur, Phase 1 of the Kosi–Mechi River Link Project, new rail projects and trains, and housing and livelihood support schemes. He will also launch the National Makhana Board to promote Bihar’s makhana farmers, strengthen post-harvest management, and boost exports.
The Prime Minister will flag off multiple trains in Bihar, including the Jogbani–Danapur Vande Bharat Express and two Amrit Bharat Express trains. He will also inaugurate a Sex Sorted Semen Facility in Purnea under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, distribute Community Investment Funds worth Rs 500 crore under DAY-NRLM, and hand over houses to beneficiaries under PMAY.
