Chief Ministers and political leaders across India joined in celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, commending his governance, policies, and contributions to the nation’s progress.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked the occasion by calling PM Modi the “torchbearer of the hopes and aspirations of 1.4 billion Indians” and “the world’s most popular politician.” He praised the Prime Minister’s “determination, sensitive leadership, and commitment to the nation-first principle,” adding that Modi’s governance had taken New India “to new heights of hope, self-confidence, and self-reliance.”
On behalf of the people of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi offered prayers for the Prime Minister’s health and longevity and shared an article titled Narendra Modi: Ek Saadhak, Ek Karmyogi, reflecting on the PM’s journey as a seeker and karmayogi.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta called Prime Minister Modi a “trailblazer of a Viksit Bharat.” In a post on X, she said, “Your life is a living embodiment of the spirit of ‘Nation First,’ the resolve of Antyodaya, and the grand vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.”
Gupta credited PM Modi with making India the world’s fastest-growing economy and strengthening democracy. She added that Delhi had benefited from his leadership and announced that the city government would launch a fortnight-long ‘Seva Pakhwada’ campaign, from September 17 to October 2, to mark his birthday.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the country was “fortunate to have the right leader at the right time.” In his message, he highlighted Modi’s commitment to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and reforms that had “touched countless lives and brought meaningful change.” Naidu said Modi’s roadmap for ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ had strengthened India’s global standing and wished him “good health, boundless energy, and many more years of dedicated service.”
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also extended birthday greetings to the Prime Minister. “In your journey from humble beginnings to leading the nation, we see a leader who inspires pride in our culture, works tirelessly for Atmanirbhar Bharat, and calls every citizen to join in building a developed India by 2047,” the actor-politician said in a post on X.
He added, “At a time of global uncertainty, you have shown courage and wisdom in safeguarding India’s interests, giving voice to the Global South, and representing Bharat with pride on the world stage — qualities that mark you as a true statesman.”
Adding to the wishes, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday and took part in the BJP’s ‘Seva Pakhwada’ in Jaipur. Lauding PM Modi for the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission,’ Sharma said the initiative had turned into a public movement.
“I wish Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of Rajasthan’s people. May he remain healthy and continue to lead the nation. The cleanliness drive started by PM Modi on October 2, 2014, has evolved into a public movement. Today, we are celebrating his birthday in the form of ‘Seva Pakhwada’,” he told reporters.
Sharma added that under the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ initiative, the government would spread awareness and take its schemes to the people. “Our government has begun a campaign to take our schemes to urban and rural areas, reaching even the last person, as PM Modi believes that the person in the last row should also benefit,” he said.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also extended greetings, describing PM Modi as the “architect of New India” whose “epoch-making decisions and visionary leadership” had raised India’s global profile. Dhami noted that India had become the world’s fourth-largest economy under his tenure and prayed for his long life and health.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the Prime Minister’s leadership would continue to take India forward. “I give best wishes to PM Narendra Modi on behalf of the Goa state government and the people on the occasion of his birthday,” Sawant said while talking to reporters in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren extended warm birthday wishes, saying: “Heartiest congratulations, best wishes, and greetings on the 75th birthday of the Honourable Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi. May Marang Buru always bestow upon you excellent health and a long life; this is my prayer.”
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin also took to X to extend his greetings: “Birthday greetings to the Prime Minister of India, Thiru Narendra Modi. I convey my wishes for his good health, happiness, and a long life,” he said.
Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also took to X to greet the Prime Minister.
L-G Manoj Sinha said on X, “Heartfelt birthday wishes to Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji. I pray for your long and healthy life. Under your visionary leadership, the nation is achieving unprecedented progress in every sphere. Your commitment and dedication to people’s welfare continue to inspire us all.”
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, “Wishing the Hon’ble PM @narendramodi sb a very happy 75th birthday. May he be blessed with good health and a long life in the service of our nation and all its citizens.”
