Droupadi Murmu | President | Mathura | Vrindavan | Banke Bihari Temple | Nidhivan | Sudama Kuti | Kubja Krishan Mandir | Shri Krishna Janmsthan

President Murmu offers prayers at prominent Mathura, Vrindavan temples

President Droupadi Murmu visited Mathura and Vrindavan on Thursday, offering prayers at several prominent temples during her day-long stay.

The President performed darshan and pooja at Shri Banke Bihari Temple, Nidhivan, Sudama Kuti, Kubja Krishna Mandir, and Shri Krishna Janmasthan. She arrived in Vrindavan from Delhi by a special train.

The visit held special significance as it coincided with the centenary celebrations of the Shri Nabha Krishna Sudama Kuti Ashram. The Mahant of the Ashram had invited the President, and preparations are underway to establish a Ram Darbar at the site. During her visit, President Murmu also met saints and sages for about 20 minutes.

Extensive arrangements were made by the district administration and Municipal Corporation to ensure a smooth visit. Special prayers and silver lamps were lit at the Banke Bihari Temple before the President’s convoy moved toward Nidhivan.

Security arrangements were supervised at the highest level, with Uttar Pradesh DGP Rajiv Krishna and Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar personally reviewing preparations on September 23. Stringent measures were put in place, and traffic diversions were enforced from 7 a.m. until the President’s departure.
