Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday interacted with students and the Principal of Navy Children School (NCS), Delhi, as part of the institution’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The event was held at South Block in the national capital.
Addressing the gathering, the Defence Minister urged students to dream with purpose, pursue their goals sincerely, and uphold national pride in all their endeavours. He underlined the importance of humility, strength, honesty, and respect, stressing that character development during formative years is vital for shaping responsible citizens.
Singh praised the role of Navy Children School in nurturing discipline, service, and patriotism among students. He said schools under the Ministry of Defence were not merely centres of learning but institutions that instil leadership, integrity, and responsibility, contributing to nation-building.
During the interaction, the Defence Minister was briefed on the school’s vision and achievements. Students also shared their experiences, highlighting the role of NCS in their holistic development. On the occasion, they presented handcrafted tokens of respect, along with a Coffee Table Book and Crest, to the Defence Minister.
