Vice President CP Radhakrishnan concluded his two-day visit to Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, marking his first official state tour since assuming office. The Vice President’s visit was marked by cultural, spiritual, and public engagements in Vijayawada and Tirumala, where he participated in major events and inaugurated key pilgrim facilities.
On September 24, the Vice President began his tour with darshan at the Kanak Durga Temple in Vijayawada, offering prayers for the well-being and prosperity of the nation. He later attended Vijayawada Utsav 2025 at Punnamy Ghat as Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he hailed Navratri as a celebration of feminine divinity and women empowerment, praised Andhra Pradesh’s cultural vibrancy, and acknowledged the state’s achievements in agriculture, technology, and inclusive growth.
On September 25, CP Radhakrishnan visited Tirumala Temple for darshan of Lord Venkateswara before inaugurating the newly constructed Pilgrim Amenities Centre (PAC) ‘Venkatadri Nilayam’ at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, state ministers, and senior officials joined him at the event.
The five-storied facility is designed to accommodate thousands of devotees daily, featuring spacious halls, four dormitories with 600 lockers, Bal Mundan halls, a 500-seat Prashadam Hall, ten lifts, and a medical centre with pharmacy and beds. The Vice President said the new centre reflects TTD’s commitment to blending spiritual sanctity with modern infrastructure for an enhanced pilgrim experience.
Concluding his visit, the Vice President also offered prayers at the Padmavathi Temple in Tiruchanoor, seeking blessings for peace and prosperity of the nation.
