Vice President CP Radhakrishnan on Monday released two new volumes of selected speeches of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, titled “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.” The books cover the fourth and fifth years of PM Modi’s second term and compile key speeches and ‘Mann Ki Baat’ addresses that reflect the government’s inclusive and development-oriented vision.
Speaking at the event organised by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in New Delhi, the Vice President greeted citizens on the occasion of Navratri and said this was his first public function after assuming office. He described the volumes as a “key to understanding the Prime Minister’s contributions, vision, and dreams for the nation.”
Calling PM Modi “a living inspiration for millions across India and abroad,” the Vice President praised the Prime Minister’s ability to turn the “impossible into possible” (Namumkin ko Mumkin karna, Asambhav ko Sambhav karna).
The two volumes include 76 speeches and 12 ‘Mann Ki Baat’ addresses for 2022–23, and 82 speeches and 9 ‘Mann Ki Baat’ addresses for 2023–24, compiled into 11 thematic sections each. The Vice President said the speeches reflect PM Modi’s clarity of thought, forward-looking vision, and commitment to inclusive governance.
Quoting Swami Vivekananda’s words – “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached” – he noted that the Prime Minister’s speeches carry a message of persistence, determination, and public welfare. He highlighted PM Modi’s efforts to revive India’s cultural identity through initiatives such as Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Kashi Tamil Sangamam, Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, and the renaming of Rajpath as Kartavya Path.
The Vice President also commended PM Modi’s focus on youth empowerment, citing initiatives like Startup India, Fit India, Khelo India, Skill India, Rozgar Melas, and the launch of Mera Yuva Bharat (My Bharat) as foundational steps towards building a developed India by 2047.
Referring to India’s G20 Presidency, he lauded the historic inclusion of the African Union as a permanent member, describing it as a reflection of PM Modi’s vision of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – “the world is one family.”
He said the speeches capture a “360-degree engagement” of PM Modi – from shaping global agendas to driving transformative local initiatives such as Vocal for Local, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. The Vice President also highlighted that more than 25 crore people have come out of extreme poverty in the last decade through schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, DBT, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Lakhpati Didi, PM-KISAN, and PM SVANidhi.
He emphasized that PM Modi draws strength from the collective will of 1.4 billion Indians, which turned campaigns like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan into mass movements and guided India’s self-reliant response during the COVID-19 crisis.
The Vice President noted that India, once counted among the “Fragile Five,” has now emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economy and is poised to become the third-largest. He called this transformation a result of discipline, self-reliance, and the guiding principle of Rashtra Pratham (Nation First).
Expressing confidence, he said the volumes will help readers understand the strength, aspirations, and duty-bound spirit of a “New India” as the nation moves towards becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
The event was attended by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, senior officials, vice chancellors of leading universities, parliamentarians, and eminent journalists.
