Civil Aviation Ministry reports strong mid-term progress under special campaign 5.0

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has reported significant progress in its ongoing participation in the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 5.0, being conducted from October 2 to October 31. The campaign focuses on promoting efficiency, transparency, and cleanliness across government offices.

According to the Ministry, 87 per cent of public grievance redressal targets have already been achieved. So far, 4,988 physical files have been weeded out, and 405 cleanliness drives have been conducted against a target of 480. The disposal of scrap, e-waste, and redundant files has freed up approximately 31,353 square feet of office space and generated revenue of Rs 81.66 lakh through scrap disposal.

The campaign is being led by Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu, who reviewed the Ministry’s progress in a meeting with senior officials and heads of affiliated organisations on October 9. Subsequently, on October 13, he conducted a walkthrough of the Ministry premises, interacted with staff, and reviewed facilities such as the canteen and library. He also encouraged employees to adopt cleanliness— Swachhata—as part of their work culture and daily routine.
