The centre has expanded its flagship youth platform, Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), aiming to connect millions of young citizens with opportunities for volunteering, leadership, skill development, and experiential learning. Launched on 31 October 2023 on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, aimed to meet the aspirations of India’s dynamic youth, moving past traditional rural- and urban-specific initiatives. The platform primarily targets youth aged 15–29 and adolescents 10–19, aligning with the National Youth Policy.
The initiative provides phygital ecosystem a technology-driven institutional mechanism that links young citizens to opportunities for learning, volunteering, leadership, and skill development. It marks a shift from isolated youth programmes to an integrated digital ecosystem where aspirations meet opportunities and pathways for participation exist at local, state, and national levels.
Digital Ecosystem and Reach
The MY Bharat portal serves as the central gateway for youth engagement. As of October 2025, it has registered over 2 crore young people and 1.2 lakh organisations, generating 14.5 lakh volunteering opportunities. The platform connects 16,000+ youth clubs and 60,000+ institutional partners, including government bodies, NGOs, and corporate collaborators.
To enhance accessibility, the government launched the MY Bharat Mobile App on 1 October 2025, offering AI-driven chatbots, multilingual support, voice-assisted navigation, and a Smart CV Builder. At launch, the app already had 1.81 crore youth and 1.2 lakh organisations registered. The platform adopts a phygital (physical + digital) approach, ensuring that youth in rural, urban, and “rurban” areas are included.
MY Bharat 2.0 and New Features
The upgraded MY Bharat 2.0 introduces modules such as the National Career Service for employment linkages, a Mentorship Hub, Experiential Learning Programmes, and Fit India integration for health and well-being. AI-enabled tools, Smart CV generation, and multilingual delivery ensure inclusivity across regions.
To bridge the digital divide, MY Bharat collaborates with over 5 lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) via the Common Services Centres (CSC) network, enabling youth in remote areas to access the platform.
Youth-Led Campaigns and Initiatives
MY Bharat has facilitated youth participation in nationwide and international events, including the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 across 150 cities in 91 countries, the National Flag Quiz “Quiz Se Siachen Tak!”, and the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat campaign, which saw 1.5 lakh youth participate in over 2,000 programmes. The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue gathered youth to brainstorm solutions on sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Partnerships and Future Plans
On 30 June 2025, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Digital India Corporation to develop the AI-enabled MY Bharat 2.0 platform, featuring Smart CV Builder, mentorship networks, and experiential learning modules.
