Integrative health camp for Safai Mitra and PIB officials held under Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign

A preventive health check-up and consultation camp was organized on Wednesday at Shastri Bhawan and the National Media Centre.

The camp was part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025, which is being observed from 17 September to 2 October. It focused on preventive healthcare and service-oriented activities, with special attention to the well-being of Safai Mitra and PIB officials.

The initiative is being led by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) in collaboration with the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital.

Medical consultations at the camp followed an integrative model. Ayurveda services were led by Dr. Rama Kant Yadava, Additional Professor at AIIA, in Shastri Bhawan. At the National Media Centre, allopathy consultations were headed by Dr. Shailesh Kumar, Professor of Medicine, and Dr. Ramesh Chand Meena, Associate Professor and Nodal Officer at RML Hospital.

Teams of consultants and nursing staff from both AIIA and RML Hospital conducted comprehensive health assessments, providing participants with access to preventive care and medical guidance.

By combining traditional systems with modern medicine, the camp highlighted the government’s focus on accessible and holistic healthcare. The initiative sought to benefit frontline sanitation workers and PIB staff, ensuring that preventive measures and timely consultations reduced future health risks.

This effort reflected the broader commitment to integrate wellness into public service spaces and support those who contributed directly to the upkeep of institutions and national campaigns like Swachhata Hi Seva.
