Mansukh Mandaviya launches MY Bharat mobile app

Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday launched the MY Bharat Mobile Application, a new milestone in the government’s effort to strengthen youth engagement and leadership through technology.

Developed by the Digital India Corporation (DIC) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the app is part of the MY Bharat platform, an online youth leadership and social engagement initiative of the Department of Youth Affairs (DoYA).

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Mandaviya said: “The launch of the MY Bharat Mobile Application represents a landmark step in realizing the Government’s vision of empowering India’s youth. By leveraging technology-driven engagement, it opens new avenues for leadership, participation, and nation-building, enabling young people across the country to contribute more effectively to India’s growth story.”

The mobile application, currently available in Hindi and English, is designed to provide seamless access to volunteering, internships, mentorship, and learning opportunities. It features an intuitive interface that allows youth to explore opportunities anytime, anywhere, with additional Indian languages to be supported soon.

Key features of the app include:

* Verified opportunities for volunteering, internships, mentorship, and experiential learning.

* Digital recognition via badges, certificates, and personalized youth profiles.

* Career empowerment tools, including skill-building resources and AI-enabled resume building.

* Active participation in flagship campaigns, fostering leadership and civic contribution.

The app also enables participation in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 Quiz, making the platform a hub for both engagement and interactive learning.

In a significant move to broaden outreach, Dr. Mandaviya announced the integration of Common Services Centres (CSCs) with the MY Bharat Portal. Leveraging over five lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), the integration will ensure rural and remote youth can register, participate in the VBYLD Quiz, and access various opportunities offered by the platform.

Since its launch by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 October 2023, the MY Bharat platform has grown into one of the country’s largest youth-centric ecosystems, with over 1.81 crore youth registered and more than 1.20 lakh organisations onboarded. The platform continues to expand its role as a digital backbone for youth engagement, leadership, and nation-building during the Amrit Kaal.
