Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tributes to social reformer and nation builder Nanaji Deshmukh on his birth anniversary, describing him as a visionary who dedicated his life to self-reliance and rural empowerment.
In a series of posts on X, PM Modi highlighted Deshmukh’s unwavering commitment to societal service, discipline, and nation-building. He noted that Deshmukh’s life was a shining example of dedication and service to the nation.
The Prime Minister also recalled Deshmukh’s deep admiration for Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, emphasizing how his vision for youth development and nation-building was inspired by Narayan’s ideals. PM Modi referred to a message shared by Deshmukh during his tenure as Mahamantri of the Janata Party, which reflected his commitment to these values.
“Paying homage to the great Nanaji Deshmukh on his birth anniversary. He was a visionary social reformer, nation builder, and lifelong advocate of self-reliance and rural empowerment. His life was an embodiment of dedication, discipline, and service to society,” PM Modi said.
