Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from several NDA-ruled states on Thursday reached Patna to attend the swearing-in ceremony of JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar, who took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time at Gandhi Maidan.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, after arriving in Patna, said the mandate reflected “the people’s trust, the government’s sustained efforts and Bihar’s continued march towards development.”
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who was also present at the venue, said there was a “very happy atmosphere in Patna and across Bihar.”
Extending wishes to the JD(U) leader, Shinde said, “Taking oath for the 10th time is a record in itself. I congratulate Nitish Kumar and thank the people of Bihar for giving this mandate.”
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also congratulated Nitish Kumar, stating that under the NDA’s leadership, Bihar was “once again moving forward with a focus on good governance and development.”
“I hope the state reaches new heights under his leadership. May Baba Mahakal bless him,” he added.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma were among the top NDA leaders who attended the ceremony.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present at the historic event, which drew a massive crowd at Gandhi Maidan and is being seen as one of the largest political gatherings in recent years.
The administration made elaborate security arrangements. Additional police forces were deployed, surveillance cameras installed, and emergency medical teams kept on standby to ensure smooth conduct of the event.
