The Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice, held a mass singing of India’s national song, ‘Vande Mataram,’ on Friday to mark the 150th anniversary of the anthem.
The event, held at Shastri Bhawan, included a reflection on the song’s history and its role in India’s freedom movement.
Officers and staff from the department, along with branch secretariats and attached offices, joined together at 10:00 a.m. to sing the anthem in unison.
Law Secretary Dr. Anju Rathi Rana delivered a message urging participants to uphold the values of harmony, integrity, and collective purpose embodied in the song.
