The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that a fresh Western Disturbance will impact the western Himalayan region from November 4, while a low-pressure area forming over the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Myanmar coast is expected to cause isolated heavy rainfall over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on Sunday.
During the past 24 hours (ending at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday), heavy rainfall was recorded at isolated places across Saurashtra & Kutch, Konkan & Goa, central Maharashtra, Assam and Meghalaya.
IMD defines heavy rain as rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm, very heavy rain as rainfall between 115.6 mm and 204.4 mm, and extremely heavy rain as rainfall exceeding 204.4 mm.
In Delhi-NCR, mainly clear to partly cloudy skies are expected over the next four days, accompanied by shallow fog and smog during the morning and night hours. The maximum temperature will range between 29°C and 32°C, while the minimum will remain between 16°C and 19°C, staying 1–3°C above normal through the period.
On Sunday, Delhi will experience mainly clear skies with smog or shallow fog at night. Winds from the northwest at speeds up to 15 kmph in the afternoon will calm down to less than 5 kmph by night.
On November 3, conditions will remain clear with morning fog or smog, with temperatures hovering between 30°C and 32°C during the day and 16°C to 18°C at night. Light northwesterly winds will prevail during the day before shifting to a southeast direction in the evening.
From November 4 onward, the sky is expected to turn partly cloudy with shallow fog in the morning. The temperature will remain steady, with maximums around 30°C–32°C and minimums between 17°C–19°C. Winds will blow from the southeast at light to moderate speeds.
On November 5, Delhi will continue to see partly cloudy skies with shallow fog early in the morning. The maximum temperature is expected to ease slightly to around 29°C–31°C, while the minimum will remain between 17°C and 19°C. Winds will blow predominantly from the southeast during the day, turning northeasterly and calm by night.
