The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2025 opened today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), drawing over 205,000 participants from 172 countries. Organized by ADNOC, the four-day event running until November 6 is the world’s largest energy gathering, focusing on strategies for resilience, intelligence, and decarbonization across the value chain.
The conference features 2,250 exhibitors, including 54 national oil companies and international oil companies, alongside 30 country pavilions. More than 1,800 speakers will address key themes such as AI integration in energy, sustainable investments, and innovation across 12 conference programmes.
India has established a strong presence this year, reflecting its growing role in the global energy transition. The India Pavilion, organized across multiple sections by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI), the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), brings together over 150 companies showcasing advancements in renewables, digital solutions, and low-carbon technologies. Leading participants include Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Engineers India Limited (EIL), Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL).
The pavilions were inaugurated by Dr. Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of India to the UAE, who highlighted the deepening energy partnership between the two nations. “Over the recent years, India-UAE energy cooperation has moved from being a buyer-seller relationship to a comprehensive strategic energy partnership. An evidence of this is increasing participation of Indian companies in ADIPEC,” Dr. Mittal said. “Presence of over 150 Indian companies, offering a diverse range of products, is testament of the growing strength of the Indian manufacturing and service sector as part of Prime Minister of India’s call for Make in India and Make for the World.”
Dr. Mittal also noted enthusiasm among participants for the India Energy Week to be held in January 2026 in Goa, calling it “symbolic of the growing synergy between ADIPEC and India Energy Week.”
Building on momentum from 2024, when India’s participation drew 184,000 visitors, this year’s delegation is focusing on LNG imports, joint ventures with UAE partners, and hydrogen technology cooperation. In his opening remarks, ADNOC CEO Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber emphasized that partnerships with countries like India are vital to advancing a shared low-carbon future.
A major highlight is the 13th edition of the Young ADIPEC programme, engaging over 1,400 students through hands-on learning and innovation challenges. The newly launched “The Innovators” platform enables young researchers to present energy-focused ideas to global investors and industry leaders.
