International Conference on Green Hydrogen

International Conference on Green Hydrogen 2025 begins in New Delhi

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on Tuesday inaugurated the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH 2025) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The two-day event, being held on November 11 and 12, aims to bring together global stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for scaling up green hydrogen production, developing supporting infrastructure, and boosting demand under India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM).

Senior Union Ministers, including Pralhad Joshi, Minister of New and Renewable Energy and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution; Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas; and Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, are attending the conference.

Earlier, speaking ahead of the sessions, MNRE Secretary and SECI Chairman Santosh Kumar Sarangi said the conference seeks to align the priorities of the government, industry and research institutions to accelerate implementation of the Green Hydrogen Mission.

“Green hydrogen will be an important part of India’s efforts to ensure clean, affordable and domestically produced energy,” Sarangi said. “The sector is evolving, and it is essential to bring clarity on technology choices, cost trends, infrastructure requirements and demand creation. ICGH 2025 will help harmonise these efforts and support the mission’s implementation,” he added.

The conference is hosting government officials, technical experts, industry leaders, researchers, students and media professionals. The agenda includes thematic sessions on financing, certification, port readiness, skill development, technology localisation and the role of green hydrogen across multiple sectors.

International organisations such as the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Hydrogen Europe, the H2 Global Foundation, the Korea Hydrogen Alliance and the Port of Rotterdam Authority are among the participants.

Further details on the event schedule and registration are available on the official website of ICGH 2025.
