The fifth round of India-Venezuela Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) was held on Wednesday, strengthening the bilateral dialogue between the two countries. The meeting was co-chaired by P. Kumaran, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs Tatiana Josefina Pugh Moreno, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
During the consultations, both sides agreed to enhance cooperation across key areas including trade, health and pharmaceuticals, digital technology, agriculture, development partnership, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. They also reaffirmed their commitment to working together in multilateral forums of mutual interest.
The delegations exchanged views on regional and international developments, agreeing to coordinate closely in multilateral platforms to advance the India-Venezuela partnership.
Both countries agreed to hold the next round of the Foreign Office Consultations in Caracas on a mutually convenient date, continuing efforts to deepen bilateral engagement.
