PM Modi meets survivors of Delhi blast at LNJP Hospital

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, upon his return from Bhutan on Wednesday, headed straight to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital in New Delhi to meet the survivors of the deadly car blast that occurred near the Red Fort on November 10.

The Prime Minister interacted with the injured, enquired about their health, and wished them a speedy recovery. He was also briefed by senior doctors and officials about the condition of the victims and the treatment being provided.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Went to LNJP Hospital and met those injured during the blast in Delhi. Praying for everyone’s quick recovery. Those behind the conspiracy will be brought to justice!”

During his two-day State Visit to Bhutan, PM Modi had expressed deep sorrow over the blast near Delhi’s Red Fort. “A tragic incident took place in Delhi. I can understand the pain of the families who lost their loved ones,” he said in Thimphu, assuring that the government would ensure the “strictest action” against those responsible.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has handed over the probe into the Delhi blast to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level review meeting with top security officials, directing agencies to “leave no stone unturned” in bringing the perpetrators to justice. He instructed the NIA, Intelligence Bureau, and Delhi Police Special Cell to coordinate closely and expedite the investigation.

Following the explosion, security agencies have issued high alerts across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai, increasing vigilance at crowded public places, transportation hubs, and religious sites.
