Skyroot’s Infinity Campus

PM to inaugurate Skyroot’s Infinity Campus, unveil Vikram-I Orbital Rocket on November 27

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Skyroot Aerospace’s new Infinity Campus on November 27 at 11 AM through video conferencing, the Government announced on Tuesday. During the event, he will also unveil Vikram-I, the company’s first orbital launch vehicle capable of placing satellites into orbit.

The newly built state-of-the-art facility spans nearly 200,000 square feet and is equipped for designing, developing, integrating and testing multiple launch vehicles. The campus has been created with the capability to produce one orbital rocket per month, marking a major milestone in India’s private space manufacturing capacity.

Skyroot Aerospace, co-founded by IIT alumni and former ISRO scientists Pawan Chandana and Bharath Daka, has rapidly emerged as a leading private player in the country’s space ecosystem. The company created history in November 2022 by launching Vikram-S, India’s first privately developed sub-orbital rocket.

The rapid rise of private space enterprises is a testament to the success of the transformative reforms carried out by the Government in the last few years, reinforcing India’s leadership as a confident and capable global space power
