Minister of State for Power Shripad Y. Naik on Friday inaugurated the Ministry of Power Pavilion at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF), being held from November 14 to 27 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Speaking at the inauguration, Naik said the pavilion highlights India’s transition from conventional power sources to clean and sustainable energy. He said the exhibits reflect the government’s focus on creating a technology-driven, citizen-centric, and inclusive power ecosystem in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. Seven public sector undertakings – NTPC, NHPC, SJVN, THDC, PFC, Power Grid, and REC – are participating in the pavilion to showcase their contributions to the country’s power sector.
The Minister encouraged students, young professionals, and visitors to explore the pavilion to understand India’s ongoing shift towards reliable and future-ready energy systems. He said the displays offer insights into emerging technologies and opportunities in the sector.
Located in Hall No. 1, the Power Pavilion features interactive and technology-focused installations, including a kinetic LED wall, anamorphic 3D displays, an immersive “power journey” zone, smart meter demonstrations, an AI-enabled Holobot, quiz stations, smart home models, an EESL Mart, a pumped storage project diorama, a themed selfie wall, an AI photo booth, and an energy-themed “Chakra” display.
The pavilion aims to provide visitors with a comprehensive look at India’s evolving energy landscape and the role of power sector PSUs in advancing clean energy and infrastructure development.
