PM Modi | Amit Shah | ‘Namotsav’ cultural programme

Amit Shah highlights PM Modi’s journey at ‘Namotsav’ cultural programme in Ahmedabad

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Sunday addressed the cultural programme ‘Namotsav’, based on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and said that the Prime Minister’s life remains a source of inspiration for people across the country

Speaking at the event, Shah said that ‘Namotsav’ artistically presents the life, duties and principles of a leader who has instilled confidence among 140 crore Indians that India will emerge as a leading nation in every field by 2047. He said this belief has been possible due to Prime Minister Modi’s lifelong dedication, experimentation in governance and ability to build a collective national vision.

The Home Minister said that PM Modi’s journey—from growing up in poverty to being honoured with the highest civilian awards by 29 countries—is not only a personal achievement but also a matter of pride for the entire nation. He said the programme ‘Namotsav’ has emerged as a source of inspiration for children, youth and social and political workers.

Highlighting welfare initiatives, Shah said that in the last 11 years, the Prime Minister’s policies have lifted 27 crore people out of poverty. He added that around 60 crore people have benefited from basic facilities such as housing, electricity, drinking water, toilets, healthcare and education, significantly improving their quality of life.

Shah noted that PM Modi, despite coming from a poor family and not owning a personal residence, has ensured the construction of homes for nearly four crore people across the country over the past 11 years.

Referring to PM Modi’s tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shah said it became a model of good governance for the entire country. He highlighted initiatives such as the Jyotigram Yojana, which ensured 24-hour electricity supply to villages in Gujarat.

The Home Minister further said that from October 7, 2001, to December 28, 2025, PM Modi has completed 24 years in public life without taking a single day off, working continuously for public service.

Shah said PM Modi’s life and work reflect integrity, dedication and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of the poor, making him a lasting source of inspiration for future generations.
