India and Georgia on Saturday held the 8th round of Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) in Tbilisi, reviewing the full spectrum of bilateral relations and exploring ways to expand cooperation in new areas.
The Indian delegation was led by Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs, Sibi George, while the Georgian side was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Khvitisiashvili.
During the consultations, both sides took stock of political engagement, trade and economic cooperation, cultural exchanges and people-to-people ties. Discussions also covered avenues for strengthening collaboration across emerging sectors.
The two delegations exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest, reflecting convergence on several international and regional developments.
Both sides agreed to maintain regular official-level exchanges to further deepen bilateral ties and sustain momentum in India–Georgia relations.
