The three-day cultural programme ‘Namotsav’, a grand musical multimedia production based on the life and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, enthralled audiences in Ahmedabad, drawing large public participation and widespread appreciation.
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah inaugurated the event and said that ‘Namotsav’ artistically depicts the journey of a leader who has inspired 140 crore Indians to work towards making India a leading nation in every field by 2047. He said such inspiration is possible only through lifelong dedication to national objectives and the ability to unite people around a shared vision.
The large-scale stage production portrayed Prime Minister Modi’s journey from his humble beginnings in Vadnagar, Gujarat, to his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat and later as Prime Minister of India. Through a blend of live performances, music, dance, narration and advanced multimedia visuals, the programme highlighted key milestones that shaped his leadership and India’s developmental trajectory.
The event was attended by eminent dignitaries, cultural practitioners, spiritual leaders, scholars, artists and citizens from various walks of life. Over 150 artists participated in the performances, bringing to life defining moments from the Prime Minister’s public life and leadership journey.
The production showcased landmark initiatives in governance, infrastructure, social empowerment and inclusive development, highlighting how the Gujarat model of development evolved into a framework for national progress.
As part of the programme, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, through the Publications Division, Central Bureau of Communication and Press Information Bureau, set up a book stall showcasing publications on the life, ideas and leadership philosophy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The stall displayed around 14 prominent titles and attracted significant interest from visitors.
Chief Executive Officer of Prasar Bharati Gaurav Dwivedi, Director General of PIB Dhirendra Ojha and Additional Director General of PIB Ahmedabad Prashant Pathrabe visited the book stall and interacted with officials, appreciating the initiative to document contemporary leadership and nation-building through publications.
The programme demonstrated the use of culture as a medium to communicate leadership values and social transformation, blending traditional artistic forms with modern technology to engage audiences across generations and backgrounds.
‘Namotsav’ concluded as a celebration of India’s democratic journey, cultural richness and developmental aspirations, highlighting the power of creative expression in inspiring collective national consciousness.
