Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address the ‘Uttar Pradesh Day’ celebrations as the Chief Guest in Lucknow on January 24. The main programme will be held at Rashtra Prerna Sthal, where several key initiatives aimed at promoting cultural heritage, entrepreneurship and industrial growth in the state will be launched.
During the event, the Home Minister will launch the ‘One District One Cuisine’ (ODOC) scheme, an initiative designed to identify and promote the unique traditional cuisine of each district in Uttar Pradesh. The scheme aims to improve quality standards, strengthen branding and enhance market access, enabling local cuisines to gain wider recognition at the national and global levels.
HM Shah will also inaugurate the Sardar Patel Industrial Zone Programme, which is expected to give a boost to industrial development and employment generation across the state.
As part of the celebrations, the Home Minister will present awards to districts that have shown outstanding performance under the Uttar Pradesh Government’s CM YUVA (Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Yojana) scheme, which focuses on promoting youth entrepreneurship. He will also confer the Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman 2025–26 on individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields, bringing pride to the state.
