Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday visited the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 at Delhi Cantt, praising the cadets for their discipline, synchronised drills and cultural performances that, she said, reflected the heartbeat of the nation.
Impressed by the cadets’ marching, band displays and presentations, the Chief Minister commended the NCC’s role in shaping courageous and responsible youth while instilling lifelong values of nationalism, unity and commitment to the Constitution. She highlighted the organisation’s holistic training framework and underscored the importance of national integration initiatives such as Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camps and Special National Integration Camps.
Reiterating confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision that “today’s cadets are tomorrow’s leaders,” Gupta said NCC alumni would go on to serve the nation across diverse fields while remaining steadfast in their commitment to India’s unity, integrity and dignity. She urged young cadets to march ahead with a strong sense of duty, reminding them that freedom carries responsibility and that building a developed India is a shared mission.
During the visit, the Chief Minister reviewed a Guard of Honour presented by NCC cadets and witnessed a band performance by cadets from Newman College, Thodupuzha, Kerala. She also toured the Flag Area highlighting social themes and national progress, visited the Hall of Fame to learn about the NCC’s history and achievements, and attended a vibrant cultural programme presented by cadets.
