Election Commission invites public suggestions to improve ECINet App till January 10

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has invited citizens to submit suggestions for improving the ECINet App, a unified digital platform aimed at enhancing voter services and election-related information. Citizens can share their feedback through the ‘Submit a Suggestion’ tab on the ECINet App till January 10.

According to the Election Commission, the trial version of the ECINet App offers improved voter services, quicker availability of polling percentage trends, and publication of Index Cards within 72 hours of the close of polls—an exercise that earlier took several weeks or even months.

The app was successfully tested during the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 as well as subsequent bye-elections. Based on feedback from Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs), District Election Officers (DEOs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), observers and field officials, the platform is being continuously refined.

The Commission said that suggestions received from citizens will be examined and incorporated to further enhance the user experience. The ECINet platform is scheduled for official launch later this month.

ECINet is one of the key initiatives of the Election Commission under the leadership of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Dr Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr Vivek Joshi. Development work on the app began following its announcement on May 4, 2025.

The ECINet App serves as a single, integrated platform for citizens by bringing together nearly 40 previously separate election-related applications and websites. These include the Voter Helpline App, cVIGIL, Saksham, Polling Trends (Voter Turnout App) and Know Your Candidate (KYC) App, among others.

The app is available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
