Ladakh LG Kavinder Gupta meets PM Modi, discusses development priorities

Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta on Monday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

Confirming the meeting, the official handle of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) shared photographs on X and said that the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh had called on the Prime Minister.

The Ladakh Lieutenant Governor’s office also posted on X that the meeting involved detailed discussions on governance and development issues, with a focus on accelerating growth while ensuring inclusivity across the Union Territory.

Earlier, on December 30, Chief Secretary-designate of Ladakh Ashish Kundra paid a courtesy visit to the Lieutenant Governor at the LG Secretariat in Leh. During the meeting, the two exchanged views on key administrative priorities and discussed governance and development matters in the region.

The Lieutenant Governor extended his best wishes to Ashish Kundra on his new assignment and expressed confidence that his leadership would further strengthen efficient administration in Ladakh.

On December 17, Kavinder Gupta had also met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi, where discussions centred on Ladakh’s developmental priorities, financial requirements, and measures to strengthen infrastructure for inclusive growth.
