Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday received a telephone call from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which the two leaders exchanged New Year greetings and wished peace and prosperity for the people of both countries.
The leaders discussed ways to further strengthen the India–Israel Strategic Partnership in the year ahead, guided by shared democratic values, mutual trust and a forward-looking vision.
Both Prime Ministers reiterated their zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and reaffirmed their commitment to jointly combat the global menace.
PM Netanyahu briefed PM Modi on the implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan. Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed India’s consistent support for efforts aimed at achieving a just and durable peace in the region.
The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest and agreed to remain in touch.
