Republic Day 2026: Around 10,000 special guests invited to witness parade at Kartavya Path

Approximately 10,000 special guests, along with their spouses, from across the country have been invited to witness the 77th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path in New Delhi on January 26, 2026. The initiative aims to recognise outstanding contributions to nation-building and strengthen Jan Bhagidari by involving citizens from diverse walks of life in celebrations of national importance, according to an official statement issued on Sunday.

The invitees include achievers and beneficiaries associated with key government initiatives and national missions. Among them are winners of international and para-sports events, farmers practising natural farming, beneficiaries of the Pulses Self-Reliance Mission, women producer groups, Self Help Group members, Lakhpati Didis, artisans trained under Khadi Vikas, Mahila Coir and PM Vishwakarma schemes, and rural families covered under Jal Jeevan Mission and PM Awaas Yojana (Grameen).

The guest list also features scientists, innovators and technical experts linked to ISRO missions such as Gaganyaan and Chandrayaan, researchers under the Deep Ocean Mission, professionals from DRDO, biotech entrepreneurs under the Bio E3 Policy, start-ups and MSMEs supported under the Semicon India Programme and SRI Fund, as well as intellectual property holders. Construction workers from the Border Roads Organisation and Kartavya Bhawan, water warriors under the National Mission for Clean Ganga, NDMA volunteers, Anganwadi workers, My Bharat volunteers, PACS representatives, and beneficiaries of PM SVANidhi, PM Mudra Yojana, PM Shramyogi Maandhan and NMDFC schemes have also been invited.

Special invitations have been extended to tribal leaders and beneficiaries under Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, PM Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan, and Adi Karmayogi initiatives, along with sarpanches from panchayats that have achieved saturation under central government schemes. The list further includes winners of the Veer Gatha project, National School Band Competition, Atal Tinkering Laboratories, international Olympiads, and participants of the ‘Mann ki Baat’ programme.

In addition, foreign delegates and the Indian contingent of the Youth Exchange Programme 2026, international and Indian monk delegations attending the 2nd Global Buddhist Summit 2026, and medal winners of the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (Junior) 2025 will attend the celebrations.

Arrangements have also been made for the special guests to visit the National War Memorial, PM Sangrahalay and other prominent locations in Delhi. They will get an opportunity to interact with Union Ministers during their visit.
