Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday interacted with young delegates during the track-wise presentations under the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. The session formed part of the pre-event proceedings of the Dialogue and served as a platform for direct engagement between policymakers and youth representatives from across the country.
Delegates presented policy ideas and grassroots innovations across themes such as sustainable and green development, smart and sustainable agriculture, and integrating tradition with modern innovation. The presentations showcased diverse perspectives and problem-solving approaches aligned with India’s vision of inclusive and sustainable growth.
Addressing the participants, Chouhan stressed the importance of purposeful living and collective responsibility in nation-building. He drew on India’s civilisational values to underline that life gains true meaning when dedicated to the service of society and the nation. He urged young leaders to pursue ambitious goals with discipline and commitment, noting that dedication, focus and inner strength are essential leadership traits.
The Minister also acknowledged the guidance of the Prime Minister in shaping institutional platforms that enable meaningful youth participation in India’s development journey.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 is being organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports through the MY Bharat platform to institutionalise youth engagement in governance and policy discourse. The interaction at Bharat Mandapam reaffirmed the government’s intent to position youth as key stakeholders in national development and integrate their perspectives into the roadmap for a developed India.
