Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates arrived in Amaravati on Monday ahead of attending the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi.
Gates, who is Founder Chairman of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is scheduled to hold detailed discussions with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and IT Minister Nara Lokesh.
The discussions are expected to focus on expanding cooperation in key sectors such as education, health and agriculture.
According to the schedule, Gates will visit the State Secretariat and the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) Centre to review the use of advanced technologies in governance. Chief Minister Naidu is expected to present the state’s real-time governance model and outline reforms undertaken to achieve the goals of “Swarnandhra Vision-2047.”
The presentation will also cover public health, agriculture and education initiatives, including projects such as MedTech services, diagnostics expansion and the Sanjeevani programme. The state government will give a detailed demonstration of the Sanjeevani project, which is being implemented in collaboration with the Gates Foundation to strengthen public health services.
Gates and his delegation are also scheduled to visit a farm near Undavalli village in Amaravati to observe farming practices supported by drone and AI technologies.
