Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met tech entrepreneur Vinod Khosla, founder of Sun Microsystems, in New Delhi.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, “It was wonderful interacting with Mr. Vinod Khosla earlier today. We discussed aspects relating to AI and India’s vibrant StartUp ecosystem.”
Khosla, who is in India to participate in the summit, had earlier expressed enthusiasm about engaging in discussions on the transformative potential of AI, particularly for underserved communities.
In a video message shared by the Indian Embassy in the United States, he noted that AI presents a significant opportunity to deliver services such as healthcare and education in local languages and at accessible levels, especially for those with limited access to the knowledge economy. He described the summit as an important platform to explore how AI-driven services can benefit the broader Indian population.
