PM Modi seeks blessings of Maa Katyayani on sixth day of Chaitra Navratri

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended greetings to the nation on the sixth day of Chaitra Navratri, dedicated to Maa Katyayani, and prayed for strength and confidence for all devotees.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister offered his obeisance to Maa Katyayani and said, “May the grace of the Goddess – the presiding deity of divinity and valour – infuse all her devotees with immense strength and self-confidence.”

He added that the worship of Mother Jagadamba fills the mind with infinite energy and inner strength, illuminating the heart with divine consciousness. He also shared a devotional rendition dedicated to Goddess Durga.

Leaders across the country joined in extending wishes on the auspicious occasion. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described Maa Katyayani as the remover of fear, illness, and sorrow, expressing hope that her blessings bring peace, strength, and harmony to the world. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted the Goddess as a symbol of the triumph of righteousness over evil and an inspiration to stand firm against injustice.

Maa Katyayani, one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga worshipped during Navratri, is revered as a powerful manifestation of divine energy and is associated with courage and protection. The festival of Navratri, meaning “nine nights,” is celebrated across India with prayers and rituals honouring the nine forms of the Goddess.
