Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) on Wednesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, discussing key issues related to the state’s development and public welfare.
The meeting focused on ongoing initiatives and progress in sectors such as tourism, infrastructure, and rural livelihoods.
Focus on Development and Welfare
Following the meeting, the Governor described the interaction as a courtesy call and highlighted the importance of PM Modi’s guidance for Uttarakhand’s growth.
He informed the Prime Minister about developments in areas including all-weather tourism, expansion of self-help groups, promotion of homestays, and infrastructure development across the state.

Singh expressed gratitude to the Centre for its continued support, noting that it has contributed significantly to Uttarakhand’s recent progress.
