Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the world was increasingly enthusiastic about India’s youth and technological progress, adding that global partnerships were opening new opportunities for employment and innovation in the country.
Addressing the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela, the Prime Minister shared observations from his recently concluded five-nation tour and said global political and business leaders viewed India as a major growth and technology partner.
“I just returned from a trip to five countries two days ago. It was only a five-nation trip, but during this time, I spoke, had detailed discussions, and met with leaders of major companies from dozens of countries, and I felt one thing in common everywhere: The world is very excited about India’s youth and India’s technological progress,” PM Modi said.
He said countries and global companies were keen to become part of India’s development journey, while India was also strengthening partnerships to provide global exposure and opportunities to its youth.
“Today, the world wants to be a part of India’s development journey. India is also partnering with various countries around the world. I also want the youth of my country to get global exposure,” he added.
Highlighting the outcomes of his recent diplomatic engagements, the Prime Minister referred to the partnership between Dutch semiconductor equipment company ASML and Tata Electronics for India’s semiconductor ecosystem.
“Like the semiconductor company in the Netherlands, ASML, has an agreement with India’s TATA company, which is very rare. It will create countless new employment opportunities in India and open India’s door to next-generation technology,” he said.
PM Modi also pointed to technology and artificial intelligence partnerships with Sweden and collaboration with the United Arab Emirates in supercomputing, saying such agreements would strengthen India’s technological capabilities and generate fresh opportunities for young people.
The Prime Minister further underlined India’s growing presence in emerging sectors such as clean energy, green hydrogen, sustainable manufacturing and critical minerals. He said partnerships with countries including Norway, Italy and Sweden were helping accelerate India’s green transition and sustainable technology ambitions.
He added that cooperation with the UAE and Norway would also strengthen India’s shipbuilding ecosystem.
During the event, PM Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits under the Rozgar Mela initiative. He said the recruits would play an important role in the country’s development journey and in achieving the vision of a developed India.
The Rozgar Mela initiative primarily targets youth aged between 18 and 35 years and includes candidates with qualifications ranging from Class 8 to graduate and technical certifications under the National Skills Qualifications Framework.
