At least six people were killed and several others injured after a wall and tin-sheet structures collapsed on the premises of a temple following strong winds and heavy rainfall in Maharashtra’s Sangli district on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the tragedy.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, “Deeply pained to hear about the loss of lives due to the collapse of a wall in Sangli, Maharashtra. My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this sad hour. May the injured recover at the earliest.”
