Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called on Their Majesties Willem-Alexander and Máxima at Palace Huis ten Bosch in The Hague during his visit to the Netherlands.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi and the Dutch Royals discussed ways to further strengthen the India-Netherlands relationship, including enhancing people-to-people ties.
The leaders expressed satisfaction over the progress in bilateral cooperation across sectors such as education, innovation, semiconductors, digital technology, water management and green partnerships.
Prime Minister Modi also recalled the State Visit of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima to India in 2019, noting that the visit had contributed to strengthening mutual goodwill and provided fresh momentum to bilateral ties.
According to an official statement, both sides reviewed ongoing initiatives and reiterated their commitment to expanding cooperation in emerging and strategic sectors.
The Prime Minister conveyed appreciation for the goodwill extended towards India by the Dutch Royal Family and thanked them for the warm hospitality during his visit.
Their Majesties also hosted a lunch in honour of Prime Minister Modi at the royal residence in The Hague.
