The prize distribution ceremony of the 36th National Youth Parliament Competition, 2025-26 for Kendriya Vidyalayas will be held on June 25 at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building, Parliament House Complex, New Delhi.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal will preside over the function and present awards to students and Kendriya Vidyalayas for their outstanding performance in the competition.
During the ceremony, students of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Kendriya Vidyalaya, President Estate, New Delhi, which secured the first position at the national level, will stage a repeat performance of their award-winning Youth Parliament session.
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has been organising Youth Parliament Competitions in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the past 38 years. The 36th edition of the competition was conducted during 2025-26 among 200 Kendriya Vidyalayas across 25 regions of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
According to the Ministry, the Youth Parliament Scheme seeks to instil democratic values among students, including self-discipline, tolerance of diverse opinions and constructive expression of views. The programme also familiarises participants with parliamentary procedures, debate techniques and leadership skills.
Dr. Rajendra Prasad Kendriya Vidyalaya, President Estate, New Delhi, will receive the prestigious “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Running Parliamentary Shield” and the national-level winner’s trophy.
Zonal winner trophies will also be presented to Kendriya Vidyalaya Mathura Cantt. (West Zone), PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Madurai (South Zone), PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal (Central Zone), and PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Air Force Station Borjhar, Guwahati (East Zone).
In addition, trophies will be awarded to 20 regional-level winning Kendriya Vidyalayas from across the country in recognition of their performance in the competition.
