Bharat Buildcon 2026 inaugurated in New Delhi, showcases innovations across construction sector

Bharat Buildcon 2026, one of India’s largest exhibitions for the building materials and construction industry, was inaugurated on Thursday at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi under the theme “One Nation, One Expo.” The event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, manufacturers, builders and international buyers from different parts of India and abroad, highlighting country’s growing role in the global construction and infrastructure ecosystem.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & Information Technology Jitin Prasada, and Member of Parliament Parshottam Rupala in the presence of representatives from the construction and building materials industry.

More than 25,000 visitors attended the exhibition on its opening day, underscoring the growing interest in India’s construction and infrastructure sectors. The event serves as a major platform for architects, builders, developers, contractors, manufacturers, traders, policymakers, industry associations and overseas buyers to engage in business discussions, partnerships and technology exchanges.

Addressing the gathering, Prasada emphasized the importance of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) in accelerating economic growth and creating new opportunities for Indian industries in global markets. Referring to the recently concluded India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), he said the pact is expected to strengthen bilateral trade relations and provide enhanced market access for Indian manufacturers and exporters.

Prasada also highlighted the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to position India as a trusted global manufacturing and sourcing destination through a strong focus on quality and innovation. He noted that India possesses the capabilities, resources and industrial strength necessary to expand its footprint across sectors, including construction and building materials.

He further said that platforms such as Bharat Buildcon play a crucial role in fostering collaboration among manufacturers, innovators, buyers, policymakers and industry stakeholders while creating new business opportunities and strengthening the sector’s growth ecosystem.

Bharat Buildcon 2026 has drawn participation from more than 90 countries and over 100 cities across India, reflecting its growing international significance. The exhibition features products, technologies and innovations across 24 segments of the construction and building materials industry.

Key sectors represented at the event include ceramics and stone, hardware, cement and steel, plywood and laminates, furniture, sanitaryware, electrical products, paints, construction technologies and other allied industries.

The four-day exhibition will continue to host business meetings, technology demonstrations, product launches and networking sessions, providing a comprehensive platform for industry engagement and collaboration across the construction value chain.
