The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), will organise a day-long ‘Niveshak Shivir’ in Bhopal on June 5 to assist investors in resolving issues related to unclaimed dividends, shares and investor grievances.
The camp will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Vrindavan Garden on Hoshangabad Road in Bhopal.
According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the Niveshak Shivir will serve as a one-stop facilitation platform, enabling investors to access services related to unclaimed investments and grievance redressal mechanisms directly.
The initiative aims to help investors recover unclaimed dividends and shares that have remained unclaimed for six to seven years. It will also provide on-the-spot Know Your Customer (KYC) updation services, nomination-related assistance and support for resolving pending claims filed with the IEPFA.
Dedicated service kiosks will be set up at the venue to facilitate direct interaction between investors, companies and Registrars and Transfer Agents (RTAs). Companies with a large number of unclaimed dividend accounts are expected to participate in the event and assist investors in addressing their concerns.
The Bhopal event is part of IEPFA’s nationwide investor awareness and outreach programme aimed at improving financial literacy, enhancing transparency and simplifying the process of reclaiming unclaimed investments.
Interested investors and claimants can register through the official IEPFA portal.
