Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), the flagship youth engagement platform of the Department of Youth Affairs, has been awarded a Guinness World Records title for achieving the highest participation in an online quiz within one week.
The recognition was conferred after 390,812 participants successfully completed the full length of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz during the official assessment period, setting a new world record in the category of “Most Users to Take an Online Quiz in One Week.”
The Guinness World Records certificate was presented at a ceremony held at Shram Shakti Bhawan in New Delhi in the presence of Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports and Labour and Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, senior government officials and representatives of Guinness World Records.
Congratulating MY Bharat and its team, Dr. Mandaviya said the achievement reflected the aspirations and active participation of India’s youth. He dedicated the recognition to the country’s young people, saying the honour belonged to them and demonstrated their faith in the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
The Minister noted that MY Bharat has emerged as a major platform for youth engagement, with more than 2.19 crore registrations recorded within three years of its launch. He said the platform is enabling young citizens to contribute ideas, participate in nation-building initiatives and engage meaningfully with public policy.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue Quiz was organised to strengthen awareness and participation among youth in the vision of a developed India by 2047. Conducted through the MY Bharat portal, the initiative witnessed participation from more than 50.42 lakh young people across all 28 states and eight Union Territories.
According to the Department of Youth Affairs, over 8.39 lakh quiz participations were recorded during the official Guinness World Records assessment period from October 25 to October 31, 2025. Following an extensive verification process, including independent digital forensic audits and validation of participation records, Guinness World Records certified 390,812 eligible participants, establishing the new record.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil said the MY Bharat portal has evolved into a credible platform for meaningful youth engagement across the country through voluntary participation and community-driven initiatives.
The Ministry said the achievement highlights the growing role of digital platforms in expanding opportunities for youth participation, leadership development, volunteering and experiential learning. It also reflects the government’s efforts to leverage technology for citizen engagement and youth empowerment.
