Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, who also serves as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health, and discussed India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)-led transformation in financial services.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi highlighted how India’s digital public infrastructure has made financial services more accessible and affordable while improving the ease of living and empowering people at scale. The discussions focused on financial inclusion and the role of technology in expanding access to financial services.
In a post on X, PM Modi described Queen Máxima as a long-standing global voice for financial inclusion and said India remains committed to sharing its experience and best practices with partner countries across the world.
Queen Máxima is currently visiting India in her capacity as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health.
